Top of the pops 2023

2023 has been a landmark for Nukeproof. Launching our brand new Megawatt Carbon in collaboration with SRAM, our podium winning Dissent Carbon, a fresh take on our award winning Horizon V2 wheels in the form of the Horizon Pro's plus more more. Not to mention, the incredible accolades our athletes have picked up, two World Cup UCI DH podiums, a 4th place at the DH World Championships and a top 10 EDR World Cup overall title and Crankworx wins to name but a few. We asked our riders some of their highlights from 2023. Check it out below.

Komoot. Without that I would be lost in the Julian alps somewhere living with the wolves

Had to be Snowshoe, Irish boys did good. Personally? No racing for this year. First year in 8 years I haven't raced.
Rach and Tahnee, both of them having a come back like that after being away for so long.

To all my sponsors, thank you for your continued support in a year where I wasn't sure what I was doing anymore. It was our best year yet

Nukeproof trail pants for probably the 3rd year running. I do literally every life task in them. Dog walk, bike ride, filming, car washing, hiking.
Trail pants as above
Five Ten high top with ankle protection. The one with 3 velcro straps. Robbo says they look like the shoes he had in year 6
Cheshire Cycles. Consistently outstanding service from the best in the (North) West.
Exposure lights, make night time bog bashing 10x better.

Nukeproof solum - I'm very surprised how stable and confident I felt on this bike at all the events around the world in such a short period of time.
Solum for sure
I really like my Reverse black one pedals. They have been really trustworthy and easy to set the perfect grip on
My POC merino jersey is keeping me warm and comfortable everywhere!
POC Oseus knee pads. The movement you have doesn't take away from the protection, awesome.
Bikester Sickla, just the best crew and service a bike shop could ask for!
Hmm I need some more time to think!
Red Bull Roofride was my favourite event of the year, a crazy feeling for sure
Emil Johansson for his work ethic, humbleness and his dedication to bikes
My run at Big White slopestyle, almost felt like a dream!
Always surprised at how many good up and coming riders there are every year
I'm so happy and grateful to be part of such a great community of riders all over the world, it feels like a big family.

A tie between my Mega 290 carbon and my Digger. I bloomin love my gravel machine
My carbon Mega 290 frame. Flawless all year!
Sram T-Type. Impeccable
Good riding glasses. Winter in Scotland is GRIM without them, I choose Smith Bobcats, 10/10
Tweed Valley Bikes- from brake bleeds to full suspension overhaul, they have it all dialled.
Big fan of a Garmin watch- so many stats
Everytime i've been to Val di Fassa, I've been blown away.
Can't decide- just always a Jake Darwen one
Pidcock!
Still just grateful to be healthy and able to ride my bike every day and call it work!
A shout out to all the riders and staff who have been dealt the worst luck these past few months. Wishing everyone a positive 2024!

Nukeproof Dissent Carbon - It’s the ultimate DH machine. I felt so confutable to swing a leg over it right from the start. It’s no easy fate for a frame to perform so well at World Cup level and then have RedBull Hardline thrown at it without a fault… So I’m more than impressed with it. This bike is the answer to years of feedback from many talented riders working with a truely elite brand. It’s simply an honour to ride.
I had a go on the new Megawatt Carbon recently and the pleasure of riding a Mega with the Sram motor and shifting was mind-blowing, loved it!
Sram Eagle XX transmission - just a whole different world of shifting performance!
Flow Style Clothing made our custom team kit with a completely tailored fit, it feels great and looks the job too
The Bluegrass Legit Carbon helmet… also looks sick and on a level of safety very hard to come close to compete
Jack Chapman, ‘LostYak’ has helped me keep my steed working tip top and he gets it done very well indeed
Apple AirTag’s saved me and my bike a couple of times so far. Being able to track down my bike or luggage when they are ‘lost’ has been the only reason I’ve seen them again
It has to be Dyfi Bike Parks “Lovey Dyfi”. ‘Flow’ on a whole new level. I always hit this track first with a fat grin on my chops

MSA, Canada. Love this round every year, amazing to have it for the final this year and booked in for 2024 finals too
I witnessed Ronan’s dedication to conditioning himself to ride as fast as he can. It’s as much if not more as I have witnessed in other stars of the sport. He’s stepped it up again this year and more than deserves his spot as a consistent top contender
Veronika put an amazing run down in Canada this year to P3. Conditions were so slick and without riding in the rain in training. She played it just right, pushing in sections where it seemed possible and reigning it in a little where it was needed to keep it rubber side down. A feeling for me that words could never describe, watching from the finish line
There’s too many amazing people to pick out just one or two. A huge thanks to all the members of the team and sponsors, you know who you are
