“CRC-Mavic team bike check”
Now in his 4th year with the team Elliott Heap is making the full time switch to the EWS. With a win in Ireland’s EWS last year already under his belt, he’s looking for a strong season in the U23 and against the overall times too. Elliott’s progression in the sport has been incredible, only starting to race “properly” 5 years ago. But with huge family support and team manager Nigel Page his progression has been rapid, taking 3rd overall in the Junior Downhill World Cup in 2016.
2017 Irish national champ Kelan Grant is no stranger to Nukeproof. 3 years with the Nukeproof development team (racing downhill & enduro), before securing a place on the Nukeproof sponsored Team Wideopenmag in 2017. After finishing his university degree last year Kelan went on to pull out some seriously impressive results. Win’s Tweedlove, Ard Rock, Red Bull Fox Hunt, Megavalanche and the Irish national champs showed that there is raw potential to the big lad. Now with the support of CRC-Mavic he will be taking on the worlds elite in the full EWS.
Nigel Page once again is back as the captain of mischief & team manager. After gracing the EWS podiums in Masters, he will be on his Mega 275c at select EWS rounds and events. Mountain bikes and racing are in his blood, as a professional racer in Downhill he’s the perfect man to have at the helm.
Michelin’s all new Wild Enduro front and rear will be on the teams bikes for most of the season.
Each rider has their own preference on set up. All three will run the Rockshox Lyric (170mm or 180mm depending on trails) up front. After a month “on holiday” in New Zealand, Elliott has been experimenting and getting on well with the new super Deluxe coil shock.
Kelan are on the Super Deluxe air.
