ChainReactionCycles.com/Nukeproof team rider Lewis Buchanan started the downhill race season with a win at Innerleithen, Scotland over the weekend at the first Winter Series DH event.

The young Scottish rider took the win in the Junior men category, with a time of 3:24.950 ahead of Fraser McGlone (MTBcut.tv) and Sam Flockhart (Lapierre).

It was the first time the brand new ChainReactionCycles.com/Nukeproof Scalp downhill machine had been put through its paces in a race environment. This win so early in the year bodes very well for the rest of the season where Matti Lehikonen, Matt Simmonds and Joe Smith will also pilot the new frame in the full UCI World Cup series, UCI World Championships, the British Halo BDS Downhill series plus other races and events.
