Michael Mechura was knocked out in the quarter final, taking ninth place.

After finishing second in a very difficult semi-final up against Michal Prokop, Scott Beaumont and Joost Wichman, Lukas made it through to the main final. There was a hard-fought battle going into the second corner where Lukas lost all his speed and couldn’t manage to make his way to the pro line on the third straight, eventually finishing right at the back of the field.

Lukas said: “It’s great to be on the podium again, and I’m really happy to finish fourth overall in the 4X Pro Tour Series, which has been a massive success in its first ever year.”

Lukas and Michael will now concentrate on preparing for the UCI 4X World Championships on 1st September in Leogang, Austria, where they’re already qualified as Czech national riders.
