Well what an amazing weekend…  This weekend I switched things up a bit from the usual downhill racing and took part in a different and unique kind of racing, No Fuss Event’s ‘MacAvalanche’.

Well what an amazing weekend…  This weekend I switched things up a bit from the usual downhill racing and took part in a different and unique kind of racing, No Fuss Event’s ‘MacAvalanche’.

I rode the Nukeproof Mega, which was the perfect bike for the condition’s as it descents like a downhill bike yet pedals like a xc bike.

Everyone was having a great time on the track with lots of happy faces and the surprising sunny weather throughout the weekend!

From the bottom you take 2 chairlifts, a small cycle and one last push to the top of Glencoe Mountain.

Once at the top you have an unreal view out into the Scottish Mountains plus you’re on snow!

For the Grand Final we were lined up in the snow for a Mass Start overlooking basically a slalom marked out ski slope, once they stared counting down 5-4-3…. you could tell everyone was up for it as it went very quiet, then before you know it everyone’s pushing each other fighting for the lead!

Further down there’s pedally sections, fun marked out technical sections, steep, grassy, muddy then finishing on a fast hard pack section to the finish!

On the snow I managed to get out an early lead then get passed by MTBcut rider Joe Barnes. We had quite a lead but Joe just kept pulling on me and had to settle for 2nd place.

Big Thanks to Alastair MacLennan fellow Nukeproof racer, Fraser at No Fuss for such a great event and Nukeproof, Schwalbe, Nema , 777racing.
