Mark Scott, our stylish 21 year old Enduro racer is based out of Edinburgh, Scotland. He has been a Nukeproof athlete for a 4 years now via our UK based Wideopen Magazine team. Mark is also a key part of the ultra successful “Trippin” collaboration, which see’s fellow racers and friends documenting their riding adventures around the world. This includes their Norway trip where this photo was shot by Aspect Media’s Jacob Gibbons.
In Mark’s words:
I’ve been racing mountain bikes for 10 years and riding for as long as I can remember! Started in DH with multiple national titles through the ranks from Juvenile to Junior and representing GB twice at the downhill world championships. I raced 3 seasons of World cups, with a couple of top 40’s, but felt it was time for something fresh and Enduro came along! With more opportunity to explore and travel to new places it seemed a bit more appealing to me and I’ve met a ton of new friends along the way!
Now into my 4th year racing Enduro on board with the support from the Wideopen Magazine team, I’m more motivated than ever to push for world class results at the Enduro World Series as well as travelling and riding as many new places as I can to keep it fresh and exciting. I’ll be riding bikes for as long as I can!
Our Norway trip was something we didn’t have much of a plan for. We kind of knew that it had awesome mountains and there were bound to be trails out there. It was with accommodation and guidance from some of the friendliest locals we’ve ever come across that it turned out to be epic! 2 hour hikes into flat out 15 minute alpine descents off 1000m peaks down to some of the worlds deepest Fjords. It was truly some of the most epic terrain I’d ever seen and ridden. We barely scratched the surface on the trail riding from what we were told, we will definitely have to head back for another adventure and stumble upon some more insane trails!
