Words in form Wideopen team manager Jamie:
I’m sure you’ve heard by now, but Mark Scott just scored first place in Elite at Triscombe for the first round of the UK Gravity Enduro Series.
Mark admitted that he didn’t find the race the easiest he’s ever done. The short sharp stages felt more like a DH race and relied on technical skill, control over roots and balls-out speed rather than big lungs and strong legs.
Despite that, Mark got through all 6 stages 15 seconds faster than his nearest competition. “I’m stoked with that” he told us “I ride better on longer stages so Triscombe was pretty hard going – but my DH background obviously helped and I took the win! The work with Alan Milway and training over the winter is paying off!”.
With that in the bank Mark can crack on with celebrating his birthday and then getting ready for the Enduro World Series in Ireland and Tweedlove. For the DH team, it’s off to Fort William this weekend for the British Downhill Series.
So – that’s two National wins for the Wideopen Team. This one for Mark, and one for Kye back at Ae Forest BDS. Let’s see what else we can do…
