“Nukeproof at Sea Otter Classic”

We headed to the USA for the Sea Otter Classic festival where over 70,000 visitors and 10,000 athletes descended on Monterey, California.

Sea Otter was the perfect venue to début the new MEGA 275 and 290 on American soil.

We had a full display of Mega’s including this custom built DVO equipped MEGA 290 complete with with “team green” Hope Technology components, Mavic wheels and Nukeproof finishing kit.

As well as the expo we were joined by mountain bike legend and Enduro World Series racer Matti Lehikoinen, who was competing in the festival in the Enduro, Downhill and Slalom all on his MEGA 275. This was Matti’s first trip to Sea Otter for a number of years, you can catch his 30ish second bike check with Brett Tippie here

Our American brand ambassadors Rich Houseman and Luana Oliviera also joined us, Luana unfortunately broke her collar bone in the Slalom, after finishing a impressive 4th in the pump track. Get well soon from all of us at Nukeproof.

California treated us well

After Sea Otter we were lucky enough to stay on and ride some of the finest Norcal had to offer, it’s well worth looking up for a trip for some awesome riding and equally good Burrito’s!
