Next stop for the Team was round 3 of the British Downhill Series in Glencoe, last year this event was cancelled due to extreme weather conditions but the forecast was looking good for the weekend ahead. Our youth rider Ben Kennedy was not in attendance as he is currently in Morzine training for the National Champs in 2 weeks time.

The guys walked the track late on firday evening and things were looking fun to say the least. The track at Glencoe is always challanging as it is steep, rough and technical and has enough on it to test the best of riders. Everyone was keen to head back get a good nights sleep in preperation for practise. A big shout out to Fraser McGlone and his parents who put the Team up for the weekend.

Practise went well on saturday for everyone as there was a poor turn out due to last years event there was no queue at the uplift, this gave everyone the oppertunity to do as many runs as they wanted. Chris and Greg decided to have a brake mid practise and go walk the track again as the lines were constantly changing due to the weather, they then headed up for a final run to test out some new lines.

With some over night rain the track was running fast for seeding 1st up was the junours, Dan had a good qualifing run in 4th with Chris finishing back in 7th. Next up was Greg and he finished up in 5th in the elite category. Everyone was confidient they could improve on their seeding run times and hopfully their overall position aswell.

After a quick bite to eat in the Glencoe cafe everyone was ready for the finals, as it was a UCI event the juniors and elites were going off together on their overall ranking. Chris was the 1st to come down knocking 3 seconds off his qualifying time he came down into the lead a few seconds up on second place, this was good enough for 6th on the day. Dan had another solid run ending up in 5th and his 1st BDS podium of the year. Chris and Dan are now sitting 4th and 11th in the Junior category. Greg on form after his great result in the states put in another amazing run putting him in 3rd in the Elite class, this now puts him in 6th in the overall rankings.
