Round two of the Irish NPS was held in Leap, Cork and hosted by 021 Racing.  Here’s MBW Racing team’s round up of the muddy weekend.

After the MBW racing team arrived in the wee hours of Friday night we were in for a surprise on Saturday morning.  A full day of rain Friday had left the track in taters and mud tires were in demand.   After a full day of practicing on Saturday ,which was also raining all day, the lads had their lines down and were set to go.  Once they scraped the mud off themselves of course.  The rain held off just long enough on Sunday  afternoon for the morning practice and races to finish.  As the youngest riders were send down Luke Cornforth and Jacob Dickson places first and third to see MBW dominate the podium once again.

With the U16s sent down Cameron Cornforth took first place, 7th fastest of the day, with a time of 1:29.702

That’s a massive 17 seconds over first place.

A new rider with MBW, Scott Coyne placed first in sports.

After a first run of 1:52 with a 23 second lead he knocked that down to 1:45 on his second run to hold first with a 4 second lead.

Elite rider Seanan O’Riordan had the fastest time of the day on his first run with 1:23 to place him in first

But after a slip at the top of the track on his second run he lost out to Dan Wolfe by 1.2 seconds placing second for the day.

Other MBW rider Derick Davoren racing in masters placed 10th with a time of 1:53

Darren Quille, also racing for MBW, placed 6th in elites with a time of 1:32
