“From Stoke to Scotland”
One of many trips that starts in sunny stoke on Trent and ends in the beautiful Scottish hills of Innerleithen!
Stoke to Scotland, this is starting to become a awesome regular trip now; always starting the same- packing my bikes and bags, jumping on the trail train for the short trip up to explore some of Scotland’s coolest riding spots. This generally starts at Cumbernauld, Glasgow which is one of the sickest BMX tracks I’ve ridden. I generally head up on the Wednesday as it would have been rude to have missed #4xwednesdays!
As with many Pro riders we love to slum it- waking up on a friends borrowed sofa and rolling in Glasgow the next morning, we head to ride some much less forgiving ground, Unit 23! Which is always a pleasure to ride and trust me the next morning you’ll know about it!
Unit 23, Glasgow
After few days in urban jungle of Glasgow I thought I best escape to the hills the shred the tweed valley. A short road trip to Innerleithen is home to some of the funnest trails I’ve ever rode. With the downhill, trail centre and natural trails there is a huge variety in them hills! Steep, techy, rocky or just all out flat out! It’s a pretty rad place to be and beats the hell of a lot of riding spots I’ve been to in the past. With just a few minuets cycle from my door step in Innerleithan you have some of the nicest trails in the UK.
It’s a rad adventure up here- I’m loving the trails the access, the lifestyle and the people (i’m actually writing this on my way back there for some more adventures!).
One last stop before the train, this time to hit up the new Skelf pumptrack in Edinburgh!
