“Team Chain Reaction cycles- Mavic”

We’re stoked to partner with the Chain Reaction Cycles- Mavic race team for 2017. The team is now in it’s 10th year once again guided by Nigel Page. 2017 sees a huge calendar of events with the full Enduro World Series and UCI Downhill World Cup as well as select national races. For this season the team will have added support from iconic French brand Mavic who are joint title sponsor, allowing the team full access to Mavic’s technical expertise and product collection.

“Mavic, who have been in the business of making the best wheels and bicycle parts since 1889, have been a sponsor of the team for the last eight years and for 2017 have stepped up the sponsorship level to become joint title sponsor of our great team.

We are very humbled and proud for a brand with as much of a racing heritage as Mavic to become our team partner.”

The 5 times downhill world champion and MTB legend Sam Hill switches his focus to attack the full calendar of the Enduro World Series (EWS). After tasting success last year, winning in Valberg, France and twice finishing on the 2nd step and never finishing outside of the top 10, the Monster Energy athlete is looking forward to the challenge of the fresh trails. With the news of the news of the EWS’s IMG mainstream television deal, we can catch all the highlights action.

Don’t disparate Downhill fans- Sam will still race at select World Cup Events on his Pulse.

The Downhill team see’s a return for the super talented 22 year old Welsh wild man Mike Jones. Since exploding on the scene winning in the junior world cup, he is now in his 3rd year as an Elite with the team. Mike has proved he has the speed and an abundance of natural skill with a string of amazing results; 3rd in Lourdes, France 2015, 5th at the 2015 Andorra World Championship and a host of stella qualification results. 2017 see’s Mike as determined as ever but more focused and better prepared for the season ahead.

We are all excited to have witnessed the rapid progression of Elliott Heap over the past couple of years. Now in only his 3rd full year of racing after a successful MX junior career, he’s one to watch. In 2016 his string of podiums took the young Wigan’er to 3rd overall in the Junior World Cup in a super competitive field. His all round skill on a bike see’s a stacked calendar for him. Elliott’s main focus will be on stepping up to Elite at the Downhill World Cup, but also tackle select EWS rounds, National races as well as manage his day job as a MTB skills coach. You will be able to catch all the live action from ever UCI World Cup on Red Bull TV.

As well as managing the team on a day to day basis, Nigel will be looking to add to his podium count at the Enduro World Series. As a connoisseur of “old school style” with a twist of new school flavor, Pager is a legends of the MTB scene, with huge experience as a rider and manager with 11 years working and riding for Intense, multiple British titles and podium’ing at the Enduro World Series.  Nigel is a key member of the Nukeproof team, being instrumental in creating our products and frames. Be sure to catch Nigel at the most EWS and Downhill World Cups.

The team bikes will be looked after by Jacy Shumilak and Brooks Cardwell, and Fraser Britton will be capturing the riders’ images around the world at the races.

“We have an amazing team: Three of the world’s best riders and the best sponsors we could hope for. We can’t wait for the races to start.”

Nigel Page- Team Manager
