About Mega Carbon 29"

An enduro bike built on the tenets of balance, predictability, and absolute speed. Originally designed as the downhiller’s trail bike, the Nukeproof Mega was purpose-built to tackle the legendary MEGAVALANCHE enduro race in France. Over the past decade, it has earned a reputation as a race-winning machine, collecting multiple Enduro World Series stage wins and four overall EWS titles. The Mega is the result of continuous development and refinement, shaped by the demands of professional racers and dedicated riders alike.

Now in its fourth generation, every aspect of the Mega is engineered for high-speed capability, control, and efficiency.

Race-tuned suspension kinematics

The Mega’s Horst-link suspension delivers small bump sensitivity, mid-stroke support, and high-speed control, ensuring a supple feel over rough terrain. Its progressive mid-stroke keeps the bike stable through corners and compressions, while predictable deep travel prevents harsh bottom-outs. Tuned anti-squat enhances pedaling efficiency on climbs and reduces at speed for optimal suspension performance on descents. A widened SAG range allows riders to fine-tune their setup for racing or tackling the toughest terrain.

Advanced carbon frame and optimized geometry

The Mega 290 Carbon features a T700/800 UD woven carbon frame, balancing strength, stiffness, and weight savings for a reactive yet smooth ride. Its long, low, slack geometry optimizes pedaling efficiency across all sizes, with a steep seat angle and room for longer dropper posts for better maneuverability. Practical touches include space for a 750ml water bottle, tube-in-tube internal cable routing for easy maintenance, a threaded bottom bracket, and a SRAM Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) for long-term serviceability.
