About Reactor 290 Alloy

From concept through to design, the Kinematics, the geometry and specification; the Reactor is designed from the ground up to be the ultimate aggressive trail bike. It is at home on technical climbs, but happiest when thrashing the most technical trails you can point it at.

The Reactor frame is crafted from hydroformed triple butted 6061 aluminum. To reduce unsprung mass the seatstays on the Reactor are molded from carbon fibre. All frames are available for 27.5” or 29” wheel sizes. All frames feature a flip chip to adjust the geometry from a trail to a rail setting.

The Reactor is designed to reward the rider and ensure you get that stoke factor in on any ride.

From the initial concept to final design, the Reactor was developed as the ultimate aggressive trail bike. Whether tackling steep, technical climbs or charging down rough descents, the geometry and kinematics are tuned to deliver a bike that excels in both uphill efficiency and downhill control. Its trail-shredding DNA is baked into every detail, rewarding riders who want a playful yet capable all-rounder.

The Reactor features a flip chip in the suspension linkage, offering two distinct geometry modes: “Trail” and “Rail.” The Trail mode is balanced for all-around riding with efficient climbing and stable descending, while the Rail mode lowers the bottom bracket and slackens the head angle for more aggressive downhill performance. This adjustability makes the Reactor incredibly versatile, adapting to a wide range of trails and rider preferences.

Using a 4-bar Horst linkage, the Reactor is tuned for exceptional suspension dynamics. It boasts high anti-squat in climbing gears for pedaling efficiency and reduced anti-squat at higher speeds to stay active and plush. A progressive suspension rate ensures small bump sensitivity, mid-stroke support for cornering and pumping, and a controlled end stroke for bigger hits. Balanced anti-rise allows the bike to remain composed under braking, maintaining grip and rider stability.
