Winter is the best time for riding... Time to skill up at your local trails as they get even more technical. The little white roots you've been railing all summer have polished up into slip and slides, loose dirt and mud inspires drifts that Vin Diesel would be proud of and trails bursting with "fair weather riders" in the summer become ghost towns for you to shred in peace.

But it's a challenge to the rider psyche, you need to have the right kit to keep you warm (but not too warm), dry and motivated to keep on shredding. Key to winter shredding success is layering up the right kit:

• Base-layer: Merino Baselayer
• Mid-layer: Blackline jersey
• Outer-layer: Blackline Waterproof Jacket or Soft shell- if its really cold
• Bib-shorts: Nukeproof Bib Shorts
