Nukeproof Horizon CS Pedal Awarded Best Clipless Pedal in MBUK
It is not just the Horizon Sam Hill Signature flat pedals that are "best in class". The Horizon CS pedals are now Group test Winners in the latest MBUK Magazine. Ok, we know not even this will have Sam HIll reachign for his clipless 5:10's, but the pedal that carried Elliott Heap to World Championship glory has fended off the fierce competition to win the clipless pedal group test in the latest MBUK Magazine.
The Nukeproof Horizon CS pedal uses an SPD-style dual-sprung engagement system that is unique to Nukeproof. The aim is to allow riders to clip in forwards, backward, and on top of the pedal using our unique 4-degree cleat (an 8-degree cleat is also available). A standard SPD cleat will also work in the Horizon CS pedal (forward engagement only).

The CS is part of our Premium Horizon Range
The Horizon CS mechanism is wrapped in a T1-6061 cold-forged chassis pedal to fend off rock strikes on the trail, ensuring longevity and strength. The chassis provides a supportive platform on long rides to spread the surface area of the foot are reduce fatigue on long rides. Leading and trailing edges are chamfered to ensure maximum clearance from trail debris. Each pedal also features 8 height adjustable and removable pins to ensure your foot is always secure, even if you unclip.
Cleat tension can easily be increased/ decreased with a 3mm allen key to allow riders to get use to that clipping in/ clipping out feeling. All pedals are fully serviceable with new cleats, mechanisms, and pins all available. On top of this, you can buy an 8-degree cleat for increased float and longer cleat bolts to ensure fitment in most MTB clipless shoes. The CS chassis spins on a tough Cromo axle featuring x2 high-quality DU bushings and x4 sealed cartridge bearings allowing the pedal to spin freely. Full-service instructions can be found here.
